Jackie Thornton Elected to GMSDC Board of Directors

ATLANTA, Jan. 2, 2002 - Jackie Thornton, president and general manager of Global Marketing and PR, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC). Thornton also has been elected as the new chairperson of the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Input Committee of GMSDC. She believes GMSDC is a vital link between MBE companies and corporations and government agencies. Thornton said she will focus on GMSDC's mission to expand business opportunities for minority-owned companies, and encourage mutually beneficially economic links.

Global Marketing and PR Inc. is a MBE company that offers event planning, marketing and public relations services. Global Marketing and PR is also a participant in the Governor's Mentor Protégé Initiative.
